Job Description

Datalogic is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Strategic Account Manager with a strong focus on the Retail sector.
This role is part of our DC EMEAI Sales organization and is responsible for driving growth across a defined portfolio of Strategic and Key Accounts promoting Datalogic’s product lines (FRS, HHS, MOB; SE) and expanding our footprint within the DACH region. We are looking for a true hunter and farmer — someone capable of identifying, engaging, and developing new business opportunities while strengthening long-term customer relationships.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute account strategies to grow Datalogic’s presence in Retail verticals.
  • Identify new business opportunities with large Strategic and Key accounts managing the full sales cycle from prospecting to closure.
  • Achieve and exceed revenue targets by positioning Datalogic’s AIDC and automation solutions at premium value.
  • Conduct business and cost-benefit analyses for existing and potential accounts.
  • Present and promote Datalogic solutions to customers, demonstrating strong consultative selling skills.
  • Negotiate contracts, manage renewals, and ensure customer satisfaction through continuous engagement.
  • Collaborate with internal technical and support teams to address customer-specific requirements and ensure solution fit.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records in the CRM (Microsoft Dynamics), tracking sales pipeline, opportunities, and forecast.
  • Developing for customers based in the south of Germany, Austria and Switzerland

 


Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Economics, , or equivalent practical experience.
  • Languages: Fluency in German and strong proficiency in English (B2) 
  • Experience: 7-10 years of sales experience in Technical Sales / AIDC / / IT solutions

 

 

Other Information & Specific Skills

  • Experience in Retail, both Food and Non-Food, with large Retailers and Discounters in the DACH region.
  • Proven track record in hunter-style B2B sales: engaging new accounts, expanding existing ones, and negotiating at C-Level.
  • Strong knowledge of the Retail Industry.
  • Proficient in CRM systems (preferably Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills; able to build trusted advisor relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Home-office based, preferably located in the Frankfurt Area.
