About the Role
As a Health Unit Assistant, you'll serve as the administrative cornerstone of our rehab unit—supporting both clinical operations and family communications with efficiency and empathy. You'll handle vital clerical tasks, manage patient medical records, coordinate appointments and transportation, and ensure day-to-day operations run smoothly and compassionately.
Key Responsibilities
Unit Operations & Medical Records:
Maintain and manage patient medical records in accordance with WA state standards and HIPAA.
Process rehab, medication, and provider orders, ensuring timely execution of care plans.
Support smooth clinical workflows by organizing data, improving procedures, and managing documentation.
Administrative & Front Desk Support:
Perform a variety of clerical duties including phones, faxing, copying, data entry, and equipment upkeep.
Schedule physician appointments and coordinate resident transportation.
Manage mail distribution, logs, reports, and forms.
Welcome residents, families, and visitors with professionalism and kindness.
Team Culture & Professional Growth:
Actively participate in staff meetings, trainings, and community events.
Pitch in on other units as needed and contribute to a resident-centered culture.

What You Bring
Education & Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Associate’s Degree or Nursing Assistant Certification (NAC) preferred.
Minimum of 5 years administrative experience in a medical or healthcare facility.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Familiarity with medical terminology, HIPAA compliance, and electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
Strong multitasking, communication, and documentation skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting with frequent interruptions.
Compassionate demeanor and a team-first mindset.
Compensation & Benefits
Pay Range: $20.00 – $23.00 per hour, depending on experience
