About the Role:
The Associate Financial Advisor role partners closely with advisors to help grow and service a strategic client base, with areas of focus that may include financial planning, portfolio construction and analysis, and investment research.

The Impact You’ll Make:
Review, research and analyze data to create customized, annual financial plans for clients.
Deliver the financial plan to clients in partnership with the team.
Connect with next generation clients through planning.
Provide or lead financial education, such as long-term planning, social security/Medicare, tax return reviews utilizing Baird’s team of experts.
Utilize planning results to identify the best investment solutions to implement the plan.
Assist with marketing efforts, such as a newsletter or LinkedIn presence
Research relevant news articles related to the topics covered in a client’s plan to share with them.
Serve as a team specialist for queries on financial planning topics and consult with the Financial Advisor Team on specific client scenarios.
Monitor and track business performance
Operate within the team’s client service and wealth management strategy to ensure high quality client service.
Engage the client/prospect, frame the discussion, and convey the team mission
Performs other duties and special projects as necessary.
What You’ll Bring to Baird:
Must have an undergraduate degree with a strong academic record, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Equivalent.
Minimum of three years of investment experience in a client-facing role.
Must hold SIE, Series 7/66 or Series 7/63/65 licenses or be willing to study and obtain within 6 months of hire. Training and resources to be provided and paid for by Baird. If not fully licensed, title will vary.
Must have or be capable of and committed to pursuing and achieving specialized professional designations (i.e, CFP, CPWA, CFA, CPA) within one year of assuming the Associate Financial Advisor role or demonstrate high-level education equivalent (i.e, JD)
Excellent presentation skills, very strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
Strong computer and analytical skills, especially in Excel
Knowledge of Power BI would be a plus
Detail oriented with an emphasis on accuracy
Intellectual curiosity
Ability to lead and work independently on complex tasks
