Training is a crucial part of the onboarding process for any new hire. As an organization, we
want to ensure that all new employees receive the necessary training to perform their job duties
to the best of their ability. Here are some general guidelines for training:
● New employees will receive a comprehensive orientation on their first day of work. This
orientation will cover school policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
● The school principal will provide on-the-job training to ensure the head school custodian
understands their duties and responsibilities. The training will include how to delegate
and train custodial staff, manage the school custodial budget, and inspect and maintain
school facilities and grounds.
● The school will provide ongoing training opportunities to enhance the head school
custodian's skills and knowledge, including professional development opportunities and
training on new cleaning products, equipment, or safety procedures.
