Join Our Team at Grand River Academy – Custodial Lead

1st Shift | Full-Time | $18.00/hour

 

Are you someone who leads by example and takes pride in a job well done? We’re looking for a dependable working lead to support and guide our custodial team while helping maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming school environment.

This is a hands-on role; you’ll be working alongside your team, setting the standard, and helping others succeed.

 

What You’ll Do

• Lead by example by actively performing cleaning duties alongside your team
• Support, guide, and hold team members accountable to daily cleaning standards
• Help organize workloads and adjust tasks based on building needs
• Train and coach team members to improve performance and consistency
• Inspect work to ensure quality and attention to detail
• Communicate with supervisors and staff to keep operations running smoothly
• Assist with securing the building at the end of shift

 

What We’re Looking For

• Strong work ethic and reliability - you show up and get it done
• Natural leadership mindset (you don’t need a title to lead)
• Willingness to step in and do any task, including cleaning
• Attention to detail and ability to stay organized
• Ability to motivate others and maintain standards
• Custodial or leadership experience is a plus, but not required
