Salary Range:    $15.75 Hourly

Description

Under direction of the Hospitality Manager, you shall perform the following duties:




  • Greet guests in a timely and friendly manner whenever they are in your line of vision.

  • Offer assistance/direction/instruction to all guests you encounter.

  • Clean guest units by category priority.

  • Anticipate customer needs and wants at all times.

  • Use correct cleaning chemicals for designated surfaces.

  • Service assigned guestrooms.

  • Check coffee pots for filters, coffee grounds and clean inside and out.

  • Clean all appliances inside and out.

  • Empty trash containers.

  • Remove all dirty terry  and replace with clean par to designated layout.

  • Remove soil, dirt, soap build-up and hair from bathroom mirrors, vanity, sink, shower walls, bathtub, shower curtain and floor.

  • Clean toilet bowl inside and out.  Wash the floor around and behind the toilet.

  • Replace facial, toilet tissue and bathroom amenities in the correct amount and location.

  • Remove dirty bed linen and make up the bed with clean linens.

  • Open up the fold up couch and look for dirty linens.

  • Check all drawers and under beds for items left behind.  Sweep and/or vacuum window sills and under the beds. 

  • Ensure the correct amount of hangers, extra blankets, sheets, pillows, kitchen utensils, dishes, pots and pans is in each unit. 

  • Realign furniture to floor plan.

  • Inspect condition of all furniture for tears, rips or stains: report any damages to maintenance and supervisor.

  • Dust and polish all furniture.

  • Clean all lamps, picture frames and mirrors.

  • Wipe down light switches and check for proper working order.

  • Remove dust, grease and smears from all appliances, counters, window ledges, baseboards, doors, cabinets and walls.

  • Remove dust on drapes weekly and realign to correct position daily.

  • Wash windows when needed. 

  • Inspect the condition of all printed material in the room and on walls.  Ensure that it is in good condition and present. Replace where needed.

  • Remove all insects and cobwebs from the unit.

  • Ensure presence and working order of fire extinguisher and smoke alarm in each unit.



 




  • Remove dust, dirt and smudges from heater, vents, grids and thermostats.  Set the thermostat at appropriate degrees depending on the time of year.  In the summer, turn off the heat. 

  • Vacuum carpet and sweep/mop floors.

  • Update status of rooms cleaned on assignment sheet.

  • Return and restock the maid's closet and van at the end of each shift. 

  • Empty vacuum bag and wipe vacuum cleaner daily.

  • Ensure security of any assigned guest room keys.

  • Handle guest complaints by getting information to the correct person or taking care of it yourself.

  • Report any damages or work orders to maintenance as soon as possible. 

  • Turn in any lost and found items to the housekeeping supervisor or log and store as directed.

  • Keep your uniform maintained and clean.  Return uniform and name tag at the end of the season.

  • Be responsible with your keys, work space, rented equipment and employee pass.

  • Treat your customers and co-workers with respect and integrity at all times. 


Qualifications


Experience preferred or background in housekeeping, but will trail.
