JOB SUMMARY
- Strategic leadership of IT and IT operations oversight and supervision
- Electronic Health Record (EHR) support oversight and supervision of EHR Support Analysts.
- Leads internal EHR Governance Committee, clinical technology strategy and change management initiatives
- Vendor management of network infrastructure and phone system infrastructure including computer and network equipment, operating systems, and data center operations.
- Procurement of new IT vendors and equipment that meet the organizational needs.
- Operates as subject matter expert on LLCHC systems infrastructure and works closely with Senior Leadership on systems strategy enhancements.

The Director of Information Technology (IT) and Data Analytics provides strategic and operational leadership for all information technology, data analytics, and electronic health record (EHR) functions at Lower Lights Christian Health Center (LLCHC). This role oversees a cross-functional team responsible for infrastructure, systems administration, analytics, and EHR management (in partnership with OCHIN).
The Director will serve as a visionary leader—building and refining systems, processes, and technologies that support LLCHC’s strategic goals and enhance service delivery. This leader must blend technical acumen with a strong customer service orientation and the ability to translate complex IT strategies into practical, user-centered solutions that empower staff and advance organizational performance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Strategic Leadership & Department Management
- Lead, coach, and develop a multidisciplinary team across IT infrastructure, analytics, and EHR functions.
- Establish departmental goals, metrics, and workflows aligned with LLCHC’s mission and strategic plan.
- Advise senior leadership on technology strategy, system enhancements, and opportunities for innovation.
- Oversee IT and data budgets, vendor relationships, and contracts (including Medicus and OCHIN).
- Develop and maintain IT operational procedures, business continuity plans, and technology roadmaps.
- Partner with organizational leaders on new site development, ensuring IT and data systems readiness.
2. Infrastructure, Systems, & Security Oversight
- Ensure stability, security, and reliability of all network, hardware, and software infrastructure.
- Oversee system maintenance, upgrades, and preventive maintenance to ensure maximum uptime.
- Develop and manage IT service request systems to ensure timely, customer-focused support.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, HITECH, and other data security standards.
- Coordinate and track vendor performance, issue resolution, and service-level adherence.
3. Data Analytics & EHR Management
- Supervise data analytics team to develop actionable insights supporting organizational performance and quality improvement.
- Provide oversight of the EHR team in collaboration with OCHIN to ensure effective system optimization, updates, and change management.
- Serve as a key resource for data governance, integrity, and reporting consistency across the organization.
- Lead EHR change management and user adoption strategies to enhance clinical and operational outcomes.
4. Change Management & Organizational Support
- Lead IT-related change management initiatives to ensure successful implementation and user engagement.
- Oversee cross-departmental committees related to technology and systems improvement.
- Provide project management support for IT, EHR, and facilities-related initiatives.
- Serve as a resource for IT-related emergencies, including after-hours response as necessary.
5. Compliance, Culture, and Continuous Improvement
- Uphold LLCHC’s standards of excellence, integrity, and compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Foster a culture of service, collaboration, and accountability within the IT team.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development to maintain current knowledge of industry trends.
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of LLCHC’s mission and values.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field required; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of five (5) years of progressive IT leadership experience, preferably in healthcare or a mission-driven environment.
- Proven success managing IT infrastructure, data analytics, and/or EHR systems (EPIC/OCHIN experience strongly preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing teams and vendor partnerships.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity, data governance, and HIPAA compliance.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills with a customer service mindset
