Vincennes University, a comprehensive community college, is seeking applicants for a full-time faculty position in the Agribusiness/Agriculture program. This is a nine-month position with fringe benefits beginning August 10, 2026.
Qualifications for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Minimum of an Agriculture Master’s degree in the field
Certifications in Agriculture are a plus
Prior teaching experience is a plus
Prior program and/or course assessment participation are a plus
Industry experience (or other "real world" experience) is also a plus
Skills and Abilities needed:
Excellent oral and written communication
Ability to work with a variety of learning styles and skill levels
Ability to work cooperatively with faculty, staff, and administration
Focus on providing successful education experiences for our students.
The ideal candidate will be energetic and eager to build a strong Agribusiness/Agriculture program and work with local Agribusinesses. The person hired will assist with program assessment and student advising. This person will serve on departmental, divisional, and university committees and will participate in recruitment and retention activities. This individual will be able to articulate an appreciation for a comprehensive, open-door community college. The standard teaching load is 15 credit hours per semester and may include day, night, and weekend classes.
