Responsible for the management and daily operation of the Zayo inventory, including management and coordination of the premises and any other off-site equipment locations.
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of equipment locations for both deployed and warehoused assets.
Responsible for the accurate and prompt response to equipment requests from engineering and project teams for repair and install work, often at short notice and with high priority.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Receiving and cataloguing warehouse deliveries.
- Logistical arrangement for courier consignments.
- Managing inventory levels and replenishing stock accordingly.
- Allocating and shipping network spares at short notice.
- Performing regular stock takes.
- Account management of courier companies.
- Raising Purchase Orders in Salesforce.
- Management of contractor-held stock, including arranging stock collections and carrying out audits.
Other responsibilities:
- Personal development - update relevant knowledge and skills in line with internal developments and process changes.
- Comply with departmental and corporate controls and procedures and all internal control processes.
- Possess and employ the highest ethical and business standards and always conduct self with the greatest degree of professional integrity.
- Undertake any other ad-hoc duties as deemed appropriate by Line Manager/Director.
Requirements:
- Proficiency with standard Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Powerpoint etc.)
- Fluent English (written and oral).
- Excellent interpersonal skills and dynamic approach to learning new skills. Exceptional attention to detail.
- Comfortable with using legacy systems to interrogate data and solve problems.
- Planning & Organizing: Able to independently establish an effective course of action to solve problems at hand.
- Time Management: Able to multi-task in a high pressure environment with competing priorities and ensure effective delivery to meet short-notice deadlines.
- Responsibility: Capability to work without direct supervision and to solve problems using own initiative.
- Communication: Able to provide effective and timely communication to engineers and project teams. Able to impart information clearly and concisely under time pressure.
- Problem Solving: Able to analyze and document a situation and understand how to apply that analysis to resolve the issue at hand.
Desirable Experience/Attributes:
- 1 years’ experience in a warehousing/logistics role, ideally within the telecommunications, IT or other technical sector.
- Understanding of key technical aspects of Telecom technologies (IP, DWDM, Fibre, Ethernet, Civils construction).
- Experience with Google suite of programs (Drive, Sheets, Docs etc.)
- Exposure to Salesforce.com
