Key Requirements and Qualifications

• Certification: Valid Louisiana Teaching Certificate in Mathematics (Grades 4�8 or 6�12, as applicable) in accordance with Louisiana Department of Education guidelines (Bulletin 746).
• Education: Bachelor's degree (minimum) in Mathematics, Elementary/Secondary Education, or a related field.
• Experience: 2+ years of teaching experience is frequently preferred.
• Content Knowledge: In-depth understanding of Louisiana Student Standards for Mathematics for grades 5�8, including number sense, expressions and equations, ratios and proportional relationships, geometry, and statistics, as well as curriculum implementation.
• Skills: Strong analytical, written, and oral communication skills; effective classroom management; ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs; and ability to use data-driven instruction to improve student achievement.
