Job Title: Mat Pilates Instructor

Location: Central Parkway YMCA, Cincinnati, 45202

Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and energetic individual to join our team as a Mat Pilates Instructor at the Central Parkway YMCA. The ideal candidate will have Mat Pilates experience and a passion for helping others achieve their fitness goals. Responsibilities:

  • Lead group exercise classes in a safe and effective manner
  • Create a positive and motivating environment for class participants
  • Understand the needs and goals of participants and provide them with a positive, enjoyable environment in which to achieve their fitness goals
  • Provide quality group exercise class that begins and ends on time, follows the scheduled class format, and is at the proper intensity level
  • Respect the individual goals, needs and perspectives of each member
  • Demonstrate a genuine interest in, and dedication to improving the health and fitness of clients
  • Arrive early to set up equipment and greet participants
  • Maintain a clean and organized exercise space

Qualifications:

  • Certification in Pilates or Group Exercise (e.g. ACE, AFAA, NASM)
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Ideally has experience teaching for 2+ years
  • Must possess CPR/AED/02 and First Aid certifications prior to hire, and must maintain current certifications during employment
  • Must pass an audition
  • Must complete YUSA trainings within three (3) months of employment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to motivate and inspire class participants
  • Reliable and punctual
