Position Summary:
The primary purpose and objective for the Onsite IFR (Instrument Fire Respiratory) Tech III is to perform Inspections, Testing, Maintenance and Repairs (ITM) to Life Safety Equipment, for established customers, on a scheduled basis.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist assigned HTS technicians with proper training in Vallen standard operating procedures.
- Providing customer service in the area of Inspecting, Testing, Maintenance and Repairs of Life Safety Equipment. Including, but not limited to: Fire Extinguishers, Fire Hose, Gas Detection Monitors, Respiratory Equipment, Fall Protection Equipment and Safety Shower / Eyewash Units
- May also have job coordination responsibilities in the absence of a Technician Lead if assigned by the supervisor/manager for specific jobs or customers.
- Knowledgeable of all regulatory standards pertaining to assigned duties, i.e., State, OSHA, and NFPA regulations, NFPA Guidelines and Vallen SOP's.
Assist shipping and receiving, unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders & distributing to sales associates for processing
