Primary Duties:
- Provide and support a safe working environment for all employees in Versailles.
- Provide and support safe, reliable, ergonomic systems and machines and ensure that they meet all related OSHA regulations.
- Directly lead equipment related process improvements including major modifications to existing equipment.
- Help to lead a multi-disciplinary team of Engineers and production personnel to design and coordinate the fabrication, assembly, and installation of new equipment/systems in the facility.
- Work with Controls Engineers to specify how a piece of equipment or system should operate.
- Provide day-to-day oversight of projects to track and report on progress.
- Write detailed technical specifications for projects, equipment, and processes.
- Coordinate all project activities to ensure that project timing, quality, and cost targets are attained.
- Create technical documentation supporting the commissioning and use of new equipment.
- Lead multi-disciplinary teams to troubleshoot and correct various types of equipment related issues to support KPI improvements within the facility.
- Assist in the development of newer Engineers so that they may be successful in their primary duties.
Scope/Dimensions:
- Single site manufacturing location with 24/7 operation, supplying goods to various automotive suppliers.
- Actively participate in problem solving teams and other groups as necessary to achieve KPI goals.
- Provide a high level of service under tight timelines to several “customers” internal or external.
Qualifications Required:
- BS degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- 3-5 years’ experience in Mechanical Engineering
- Extensive knowledge of 2D CAD software, preferably AutoCAD.
- Extensive knowledge of 3D modelling software, preferably AutoDesk Inventor.
- Strong project management skills
