Job Summary:



The Utility Construction Management Associate 1 ensures that third-party projects on, under, or above our clients’ property meet or exceed the approved plan and agreement. This position identifies and escalates potential non-compliant items for resolution and develops relationships with field personnel to ensure compliance.



 



Essential Duties & Responsibilities:




  • Observe utility installations across railroad property.

  • Perform on-site observation of trenchless construction within railroad right-of-way, providing support for third-party activities on and around live railroad tracks.

  • Document pre- and post-construction site conditions, verify materials and layout, observe and document construction activities, and maintain an active dialog with on- and off-site personnel.

  • Document work in accordance with approved plans.

  • Attend both railroad (flagger) and contractor daily job briefings to discuss project requirements.

  • Attend monthly training calls.

  • Submit time and expenses.

  • Submit daily inspection reports using a tablet that accurately reflects work progress and adherence to the railroad utility agreement.

  • Escalate non-compliance items to management/engineers for review.

  • Travel 100% of the time.

  • Perform other duties as assigned or required to meet business needs.
