    Description:

    Millville Public Schools is seeking a dynamic Vice Principal to join our team at Lakeside Middle School. As a vital member of our administrative team, the Vice Principal will play a crucial role in maintaining a positive and supportive learning environment for our students.

     

    Qualifications:

    • New Jersey Principal certificate is required.
    • Master's Degree required
    • Minimum (5) years of successful teaching experience
    • Minimum (3) years of experience in educational leadership 

    Responsibilities:

    • Take a leadership role in implementing the district's initiative for Positive Behavior Supports in Schools (PBSIS).
    • Oversee student attendance and implement strategies to improve attendance rates.
    • Administer disciplinary action in accordance with school policies and procedures, particularly concerning behavioral issues.
    • Work closely with the building principal and supervisors to support the curriculum and instructional program, ensuring alignment with state standards and district goals.
    • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for all students.
    • Support the professional development of staff by providing guidance, resources, and training opportunities related to behavior management and positive reinforcement techniques.
    • Assist in the supervision of school events, activities, and extracurricular programs to promote student involvement and school spirit.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the building principal or district administration.

    Skills and Abilities:

    • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and community members.
    • Sound judgment and decision-making abilities, especially in handling disciplinary matters and crisis situations.
    • Knowledge of effective instructional practices and educational trends in elementary education.
    • Ability to analyze data, assess needs, and develop strategic plans for school improvement.
    • Proficiency in technology, including Google for Education and educational software applications.


    Starting Salary:
    *$82,092. (Per MAA contract) (Salary is commensurate with experience)
