Job Description

Seeking an experienced Jr. Estimator/Bid Coordinator with a proven track record of success.


Responsibilities will include:

  • Entering information into bid schedule
  • Communicating with subcontractors/vendors via telephone and email
  • Maintaining an incredibly detailed and organized calendar reflecting bid date changes and crucial deadlines
  • Downloading & printing documents
  • Communicates directly with the Lead Estimator
  • Assisting the estimator in compiling accurate proposals
  • Obtaining material and subcontractor quotes
  • Doing quantity takeoff for various types of projects
  • Preparing bid submission packages and submitting any required documentation after the bid (DBE paperwork)

Job Requirements/Qualifications & Skills

  • Entry Level Position
  • Bachelor's degree (required) in Civil Engineering/Construction Management or related field is preferred
  • Must be detail orientated/self-driven
  • 1-2 years of Construction Experience preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Experience with Agtek Earthwork software not required but would be beneficial
  • Proficiency with BlueBeam PDF document creation and modification preferred
  • Ability to work in a high intensity environment with multiple projects being completed concurrently
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of the Estimating Team
  • Ability to review Project Specifications and provide Bid Review Team with project requirements that may affect cost and schedule
  • Ability to effectively manage bid documents to include plans, specifications and addenda
  • Ability to process bid forms, bonds and other bid submission documents
  • Position will also require driving to different areas of the State to attend Pre-Bid meetings and/or deliver bid packages
