Happy Independent School District seeks to fill the following position:
AG SCIENCE TEACHER
Primary Purpose:
Direct and manage the agricultural science program. Provide students with appropriate learning activities and
experiences designed to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Enable
students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society.
Education/Certification:
Bachelor's degree from accredited university
Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or related training and work experience
Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of agriculture science and technology
Knowledge of curriculum and instruction
Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
Ability to supervise agricultural field experiences
Ability to manage budget and work with personnel
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
