Sub Coordinator - LHS
Overview: The Substitute Coordinator ensures that substitutes are secured by processing all absence requests in the Powerschool-Smart Find Express absence management system. Provide assistance in completing all work permit requests.
Reports to: Associate Principal for Teaching and Learning

Calendar: Ten-Month Employee, 7:00am - 3:30pm
Qualifications: Education and experience equivalent to high school graduation
Professional/Personal Characteristics:
- Previous experience in an educational setting preferred
- Excellent organizational skills and time management skills
- Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently under varying deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to identify sensitive information and maintain confidentiality
- Proficient with Google G-Suite, office and phone equipment
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of daily substitute needs and input absence information for all personnel
- Develop proficiency with PowerSchool - SmartFind Express
- Work collaboratively with LHS/VHHS Substitute Coordinator
- Maintain positive relationships with District 128 external substitute teachers
- Work with Academic Department Chairs to ensure internal coverage of teaching assignments when external sub coverage is unavailable
- Create and maintain learning materials relative to professional leave processes in coordination with the District Human Resource office.
- Support all tasks as assigned by supervisor
