St. Anthony Community Care Center, soon to be John A. Stassi II Community Care Center, will be the Greater New Orleans area’s newest skilled nursing & rehabilitation center, and we are looking to grow our team. Designed for person-centered care, John A. Stassi II Community Care Center will be the first of its kind in the area and will provide care in an atmosphere that promotes resident choice and creates a more home-like setting.

We are seeking the right candidate for the position of Maintenance Assistant.  In this vital role, you will ensure that our residents reside in a safe and comfortable environment at all times.

Primary Duties:

·               Perform general building maintenance tasks; receive work orders and perform tasks required to complete duties assigned

·               Monitor and record water temperatures throughout the facility, such as resident use areas, laundry and dietary areas

·               Monitor and maintain HVAC system, electrical systems, and emergency generator systems

Requirements

The Ideal Candidate:

·               High school diploma or equivalent and 2-5 years building maintenance experience preferred

·               Prior work experience in a healthcare facility (nursing home or hospital) is preferred

·               Prior supervisory experience and/or leadership skills

·               Knowledge of general building maintenance practices and procedures

·               Ability to repair minor mechanical equipment

·               Knowledge of safety requirements and regulations.
