Responsibilities:

  •  Responsibilities:

  • Establish and implement Material Category Strategy.
  • Identify and qualify new suppliers through market research.
  • Conduct price negotiation and maintain supplier contract and long-term purchasing agreement.
  • Play a role as product expert for assigned categories and conduct material cost analysis.
  • Build up supplier pool and optimize supplier portfolio.
  • Conduct supply market/chain analysis and manage supply risk through internal collaboration and external leverage.

Managing Suppliers via supply chain risk assessment, regular business review and negotiation, supplier mentoring and education

 

Qualifications:
  • Fluent in English with well-equipped cross culture communication skills
  • BE in mechanical or any engineering degree
  • Six years or above sourcing and/or strategic purchasing working experience in favor of Plastic and/or Rubber related commodities.
  • An adaptive learner with proactive working attitude,
  • Skillful at Microsoft Office (Excel & PPT etc.)
  • Plus, if professional skill with supply chain management/global logistic  
  • Plus, if experience with SAP
  • Plus, if able to and willing to take frequent travel
  • Plus, if language skill with Japanese
  • Plus, if good strategic thinking mind set and target driven

 

Additional Information:

Skills:

  1. Skillful and experienced in contract management, aware and know well about the contracting process and relevant contract term. 
  2. Good at Negotiation skills, Sourcing process control, know well about the sourcing and strategic purchasing process with a timeline focus.
  3. Able to conduct Cost analysis individually and understand the cost structure and drivers clearly.

Familiarize with risk management on material control at component level and supplier level down to second tier.
