OPEN POSITION:             PARAPROFESSIONAL LEAD - ELEMENTARY & SECONDARY

 

START DATE:                   2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR

 

RATE of PAY:                   Stipend - $2000 - complete building lead

                                                      $1000 - shared building lead duties

 

TERM:                               Paraprofessional Building Leads will be on a rotation schedule with a term of 1 to 3 years based                                              on the building's schedule and staffing.

                

 

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:   

• Support paraprofessionals in the development of knowledge, skill and abilities needed to meet the needs of students.


• Provide training and feedback with instructional and behavioral strategies to support students.


• Provide timely and accurate updates, communication and overall guidance to paraprofessional


• Attend early out Wednesday professional development and support building paras with learned information


• Onboard new paraprofessionals


• Serve as a positive, encouraging role model


• Support administration with coordinating Paraprofessional substitutes


• Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

• Ability to build trusting and professional relationships with adults


• Remain calm and positive when handling challenging situations


• Maintain confidentiality


• Employed with the District for more than 2 years


• Attended paraprofessional early out Wednesday professional development for at least 1 year


• Well organized


• Self - starter


• Flexible thinking


• Problem Solver
