ABOUT YOU

You have an exceptional work ethic, positive attitude, and strong commitment to providing excellent care to our patients. You enjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and you desire to contribute to a strong culture where the entire team works together for the good of each patient.

 

YOU WILL

  • Assist the nursing staff in maintaining the flow of patients and families through the peri-operative area, and even more so in the PACU
  • Be responsible for keeping these areas stocked and clean so all essential equipment for patient care is readily available and orderly
  • Escort patients to the preoperative area and obtain patient’s medical history, measure vital signs, including weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and document all information in patient’s chart
  • Escort families to the recovery unit when the nurse requests them, and escort patient and family to their vehicle/elevator upon discharge
  • Clean, package, sterilize, and store the supplies, instruments, and equipment in the correct places per regulations
  • Assembles supplies, dental materials, and equipment for scheduled procedures according to surgeon's preference cards and reports to the proper person when supplies are low.

YOU HAVE

Requirements + Qualifications

  • High school diploma/equivalent or graduate of an approved Medical Assistant program
  • Current American Heart Association issued Basic Life Support (BLS)

Preferred

  • Pediatric or surgery experience preferred
  • Minimum of one-year experience as a Medical Assistant
