Job Description

Operational Oversight & Compliance:

- Plan, coordinate, and allocate resources (staff and equipment) optimally in real-time.

- Oversee the execution of operational plans and ensure the implementation of contingency actions when deviations occur.

- Proactively ensure the smooth execution of high-quality operations for customers, reporting non-conformities and implementing corrective actions in coordination with the Quality Department.

- Anticipate potential disruptions and take timely action to mitigate operational risks.

- Work with the Sorting center Manager to evaluate and train staff.

Communication and collaboration:

- Ensure continuous and effective communication to foster collaboration between all internal departments.

- Collaborate with senior management to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as OTP and productivity, implementing necessary adjustments according to established criteria.

- Proactively report and escalate any warehouse handling issues to the relevant parties. Ensure that all potential concerns are addressed promptly, minimizing disruptions.

- Centralize, filter, and distribute operational queries to the relevant stakeholders ensuring seamless coordination across the supply chain.

Safety compliance:

- Ensure the highest level of safety for all operations, ensuring that all relevant personnel are trained and adhere to safe practices

- Uphold and enforce safety and security standards, including both preventive and corrective measures.

- Ensure adherence to emergency procedures in the event of accidents or incidents.

Reporting:

- Ensure operational and safety briefings are thoroughly planned and delivered by direct reports.

- Ensure all relevant reports are submitted on time to both internal and external stakeholders, providing transparency and clarity on operational performance.

- Generate daily shift reports detailing operational activities, and ensure that any operational deviations are promptly corrected and reported.

- Maintain clear and accurate records of incidents, corrective actions, and operational adjustments, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree (short or long cycle), preferably in logistics, management, or business, or equivalent industry experience.

- Strong interpersonal skills, a motivated team player.

- Proactive, stress-resistant, autonomous, discrete, and flexible.

- Innate leadership ability with effective communication skills and a charismatic presence.

- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage priorities and resources efficiently.

- Strong analytical thinking with the capacity to assess situations from a broader perspective ("helicopter view").

- Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and public holidays (shift work).

- Ability to make decisions, take responsibility, and drive results.

- Adhere to company values, policies, and regulatory procedures.

- Customer-oriented with a strong focus on safety.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools and warehouse management systems.

- Advanced to fluent in both French and English (written and spoken).
