The Financial Analyst will:
1) Financial Reporting & Analysis
Review monthly financial data; identify, investigate, and explain variances in revenue and expenses.
Analyze revenue streams, including new business, terminations, and other drivers impacting performance.
Contribute with variance analysis and help identify underlying drivers impacting monthly and year to date performance.
Contribute with validation of the accuracy and completeness of monthly financial reporting, including review of accounting entries.
2) Budgeting, Forecasting & Performance Management
Support with preparation of annual budgets in partnership with the Manager, Financial Analysis.
Assist in updating rolling forecasts and quantifying gaps between budget, forecast, and actuals.
Contribute with variance analysis and help identify underlying drivers impacting in-year and year-over-year performance.
3) Commissions & Compensation Administration
Calculate monthly, quarterly, and annual internal commissions accurately and on time.
Ensure compliance with commission plan guidelines.
Support ad hoc commissions analysis as needed.
4) Ad Hoc Analysis & Continuous Improvement
Support process improvement initiatives to enhance accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency of reporting.
Assist with additional analytical projects and requests as required.
To be successful as a Financial Analyst with People Corporation, you will need:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
Professional designations (CPA, CFA, MBA) considered an asset.
1–3 years of experience in finance, accounting, or data analytics.
Analytical skills with the ability to work with large volumes of data.
Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office; experience with Power Query or Power BI is an asset.
High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.

Salary Range
The base salary for this position is between $70,000 - $80,000 annually.
This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation (i.e. annual bonus, commission etc). The actual base salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
