School Registered Nurse

Brookville location

Mon-Fri 8:30-4:00 Full Time 35 hrs per week

The Autism Program is located on the Brookville campus and is dedicated to providing children with autism an individualized education that takes into account each child’s strengths, as well as specific deficits, and teaches the them the skills they need to increase their ability to communicate and function independently.

Qualifications:

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the NYS Department of Education
• Minimum 2 years experience working with pediatric population
• Knowledge and experience in respiratory treatment including nebulizer, postural drainage, post coma recovery, suctioning, shunt management, catheterization, G-tube feeding, blood glucose, medication administration, emergency medical care and seizure management.

Primary duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:

Fulfill all school nurse functions as needed in a special education environment in an appropriate and professional manner.
