Salary Grade: Teachers' Salary Schedule 

Tulsa Public Schools’ existing salary schedules provide career
increment adjustments based on education/experience and/or years of creditable
service. For more information about the salary for this specific position

Position Summary: As a teacher serving eligible students attending private schools, you’ll be a champion for equitable education. Your primary responsibility will be to  ensure each of your students masters the objective of each lesson set forth by the  curriculum. This will be accomplished through thoughtful planning, grade level/content  area collaboration, implementing best practices. A growth-mindset and a desire to receive actionable feedback will ensure you are prepared to meet the rigorous demands  of educating students. Although teachers serve students attending private schools, the  teacher is an employee of Tulsa Public Schools and reports to the Assistant Director of  Grant Compliance. Teachers working in the private schools must supplement and not  supplant other services provided by the private school. 

Minimum Qualifications:  

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree 

Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, etc.: 

• Oklahoma Teaching Certification in the appropriate content area and grade  span, or the ability to be Emergency Certified in the appropriate content area  and grade span 

Other: 

• Equity mindset and commitment to ongoing learning about diverse cultures • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with others 

• Strong written and verbal communication skills 

• Demonstrate self-discipline and initiative 

• Abide by all district guidelines and policies as well, the state of Oklahoma’s  Standards of Performance and Conduct for Teachers, and any relevant state statutes
