Title: Practical Nursing Instructor


Salary Range: $51,230 annually with additional stipend based on credentials


Contract Term Length: 10 Months


Standard Hours: 37.5


Work Location: On-Site


FLSA Status: Exempt

Job Summary


Full-time nursing faculty position in the Practical Nursing program. This is a 10-month in-person position.






Job Duties:


Teaching responsibilities include classroom, clinical and campus laboratory instruction in the areas of nursing care throughout the lifespan. Other responsibilities include team teaching and curriculum development, department and college committee assignments, student advising and community service and professional development activities.






Minimum Qualifications:


Minimum of Associate degree in Nursing required with willingness to obtain Bachelor of Science in Nursing within 3 years. Must hold a current unencumbered license or privilege to practice as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Kentucky and have a minimum of two (2) years full time or equivalent experience as a registered nurse within the immediate past five (5) years and maintain expertise in the clinical or functional area of responsibility. Must be committed to teaching excellence, able to adapt to student learning needs, and perform as a member of a team. 






Preferred Qualifications:


Bachelor of Science in Nursing or must complete within 3 years of experience.
