Per Diem opportunity for an experienced, Board Certified Pediatric Intensivist in Beautiful Charleston, South Carolina



Responsibilities:

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking an experienced Board-Certified Pediatric Intensivist to provide per diem coverage at Summerville Medical Center (SMC)—just 30 minutes from Charleston!

Your Clinical Scope

  • 6-bed PICU with 2 observation beds
  • Level III NICU support
  • Telephone consult available with quaternary care center 45 minutes away
  • Inpatient pediatric floor + ER consults
  • 24 hour rounding plus call from home/hotel
  • Procedures include: intubations, LPs, line/chest tube placement, CPR
  • 2024 Census: 373 pediatric admits, 85 PICU admits, ADC: 4.1

Subspecialty Support

  • Onsite: Pediatric Surgery, GI, ENT, Anesthesia, Radiology
  • Telemedicine: Pediatric Cardiology
  • Actively recruiting Pediatric Neurology
