Trim & Final Assembly – 2nd Shift


Trim & Final Manufacturing Department


 


Direct Hire hourly role with rich benefit package


 


Position Summary:


The Heavy Repair Associate is responsible for the diagnosis, confirmation, and repair of all major vehicle defects that cannot be repaired in process within the production line. This may include partial and/or full teardown and reassembly of all vehicle assemblies and components.


 


Outline of duties:



  1. Diagnose and repair all major vehicle defects identified in-process.

  2. Replacement, reassembly, and testing of any previously identified defects within the vehicle which may require full and/or partial teardown of vehicle assemblies.

  3. Assist in the recording and reporting of all vehicle repair data.

  4. Identify and assist with countermeasure activity for any defect trends.

  5. Work, alongside a team, to complete manufacturing processes towards the final assembly of Subaru vehicles.

  6. Participate in Safety, Environmental, and Continuous Improvement (Kaizen) activities.

  7. All other duties as assigned.


 


Minimum Qualifications:



  • High School Diploma (or GED)

  • 1+ Years of manufacturing Production or related experience



  • Basic computer skills (Excel, Word)

  • Strong mechanical aptitude

  • Proven knowledge of vehicle components including, but not limited to, electrical wiring, engines, transmissions, trimming, etc.

  • Experience utilizing computer diagnostics tooling.

  • Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings, and electrical drawings.


 


 


Desired Qualifications:



  • Certificate in automotive repair or similar field.

  • Previous experience in automotive repair including electrical, engine, transmission, and trim repairs.
