We are looking for a hands-on Manager, Manufacturing to lead the OPUS manufacturing operations in Breda. Your focus will be on the daily execution of production plans, ensuring that every unit meets our safety and quality standards while maintaining optimal output and cost efficiency.
You will be responsible for the direct management of the manufacturing team of currently 13 employees, the stability of the production floor, and the continuous improvement of our local processes.

Your responsibility:

Operational Execution

• Manage daily SQDC performance (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost) for the Breda site.
• Manage production planning and forecast.
• Ensure "right-first-time" manufacturing and resolve immediate production or supply chain risks.

Team Management

• Lead, coach, and develop the Manufacturing team.
• Conduct performance reviews, manage succession planning, and oversee skills development.
• Work daily with Quality, Engineering, Planning, and EHS to maintain smooth operations.

Continuous Improvement

• Use RPS and Lean tools to drive standard work and visual management.
• Use production and quality data to identify and fix bottlenecks or risks.
• Assist in the rollout of process changes and new equipment qualification.

Compliance & Budgeting

• Ensure strict adherence to GMP, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.
• Enforce all health, safety, and environmental procedures.
• Manage the manufacturing budget, including labour, scrap, and overtime expenses.
• Deliver regular reports on production capacity and KPIs.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• 7+ years in manufacturing operations, specifically within a production environment.
• Experience in high-mix/low-volume or regulated industries (Biotech, Life Sciences, or High-Tech preferred).
• Direct experience using ERP systems; SAP experience is highly preferred.
• Proven track record in building out manufacturing infrastructure and scaling production lines.
