TITLE: Operations Specialist
POSITION OBJECTIVE: Identify opportunities for improvement throughout the manufacturing process, and lead in the development and implementation of the methods for improvement. On a daily basis, must be able to effectively communicate (orally and written) with employees and other departmental personnel. Key accountabilities of position include managing team, safety, costs, and projects.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A High School Diploma or equivalent
- Strong technical and supervisory skills
- Strong analytical, financial, technical, planning, problem solving skills
- Strong Interpersonal, Leadership skills and effective communication skills
- Project management skills
- Legal eligibility to work in the US
- Ability to speak, read, and write in English
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with all levels of personnel
- Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary such as overtime and weekends.
- Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Adhere to safety precautions and regulations, promptly reporting hazards, and participate in safety meetings.
- Responsible for reporting all safety hazards and potential unsafe working conditions.
- Understand and comply with all current plant policies and procedures.
- Identify opportunities to reduce raw material costs.
- Perform benefit analyses on potential Capital Investment Projects.
- Maintain a general knowledge of equipment functionality and manufacturing processes/capabilities.
- Generate pricing quotations for new and/or existing business.
- Collect and analyze all monthly inventory information.
- Assist with project management.
- Work closely with the Customer Service and Scheduling departments to ensure schedule
