JOB DUTIES
1. Maintains sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.
2. Cleans food preparation areas, cooking surfaces, and utensils.
3. Operates large-volume cooking equipment such as grills, deep-fat fryers, or
griddles.
4. Verifies that prepared food meets requirements for quality and quantity.
5. Takes food and drink orders and receives payment from customers.
6. Reads food order slips or receives verbal instructions as to food required by
patron, and prepares and cooks food according to instructions.
7. Washes, cuts, and prepares foods designated for cooking.
8. Measures ingredients required for specific food items being prepared.
9. Cooks and packages batches of food, such as hamburgers and fried
chicken, which are prepared to order or kept warm until sold.
10. Cooks the exact number of items ordered by each customer, working on
several different orders simultaneously.
