Job Summary:

Lab instructor faculty will collaborate with math faculty instructing the non-credit Fundamentals of Mathematics refresher course. They will facilitate the Open Learning Space and resources for MCS co-support courses. In-person assignments may be on LCC’s downtown campus or at an extension center (within 40 miles of the downtown campus). Lab Instructor faculty are expected to work collaboratively with senior department faculty to assist student learning outside of class during open learning times. Additional responsibilities may include participation in assessment in the Open Learning Space, department/program meetings, professional development activities, and other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, or math education, or field related to mathematics from a regionally accredited college or university

Demonstrated experience working with students at the college level or with adult learners






Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with at-risk student populations.

Experience coaching student improving test taking skills, study skills and/or test anxiety

Experience planning coordination events or services with diverse populations
