Position Summary:

The Sourcing lead oversees the daily activities and strategic initiatives at local level to deliver high performance service and support for global sourcing and local manufacturing sites.



Essential Responsibilities:

Main Responsibilities / Tasks:

 

 

1.       In conjunction with the key stakeholders and Commodities managers, develop the Valves group LCR strategies and vendor’s base strategies.

2.       Manage and partner with high quality local suppliers in the purchase of parts and components across multiple categories, but with a clear focus on castings (Raw and Finished), fabrications and forgings;

3.       Manage supplier relationships:

o   Supplier development according to ITT standards

o   Capacity management

o   Establish top level senior management relationships

4.       Jointly with Commodity Managers co-develop vision and establish targets of the supplier landscape by following product development roadmap and regional needs;

5.       Prepare and oversee supplier negotiations related to the valves business including tactics, spend base analysis, script, dry-run and orchestrating stakeholders involved as well as all contract details;

6.       Co-define and execute commodity strategy and strategic actions plans at suppliers with the extended global sourcing team;

7.       Collaborate with technical team for new supplier homologation and existing supplier quality improvement;

8.       Interface closely with internal customers (ITT sites globally);

9.       Track and formalize (long-term) supplier performance by executing Strategic Supplier Reviews (SSR), identifying gaps, initiating improvement opportunities, developing mitigation measures, and executing total cost reduction and value-added initiatives (Project Funnel)

10.   Flag and resolve escalations in time with the Commodity Managers and Purchasing Managers in collaboration with other teams associated or impacted by supplier performance;

11.   Participate in the Supplier Meeting Business Reviews (MBRs)



Position Requirements:

Qualifications/Requirements:

 

1.       10+ years of strong strategic level experience in a complex Worldwide Supply Chain organization. Experience in castings and supplier development a clear plus;

2.       Technical University degree or comparable education – Mechanical Engineering or Material Science preferred;

3.       Strong communications, negotiation & interpersonal skills;

4.       Demonstrated effective planning, organizing and decision-making skills;

5.       Demonstrated leadership and team skills;

6.       Strong project management skills;

7.       Experience in, and the ability to interact credibly with internal management and clients;

8.       Influencing and negotiating skills;

9.       Global markets and geopolitical markets understanding;

10.   Result driven with a structured approach.
