Job Description

Overview: We are seeking dependable and detail-oriented Powder Coat Technicians to support daily operations within our paint department. This role is responsible for preparing materials, operating powder coating equipment, ensuring quality standards are met, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

Essential Responsibilities: 

  • Prepare metal parts for coating (cleaning, masking, sanding, and racking).
  • Operate powder coating spray guns and related equipment.
  • Monitor powder flow, air pressure, and oven temperatures to ensure proper coating and curing.
  • Inspect finished products for defects such as runs, thin spots, or uneven coverage.
  • Perform touch-ups orreworkas necessary.
  • Rack and un-rackparts from the paint line safely and efficiently.
  • Package/palletizefinished products according to company standards.
  • Maintainaccurateproduction and quality records.
  • Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of PPE (respirators,spray suits, boots, steel toes, hearing protection,gloves, eye protection).
  • Assistwith routine cleaning and maintenance of equipment and workarea.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:  

  • High school diploma, GEDor equivalentrequired.
  • Previousexperience in powder coatingstronglypreferred.
  • Ability to read and follow work orders and production schedules.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods andlift upto 50 lbs.consistently throughout the dayat or above shoulder level.
  • Ability to bend, twist, lift as needed.  
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Team-oriented mindset withgood communicationskills.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and wear a respirator. 
  • Ability to work in afast-pacedmanufacturing environment.
  • Manual dexterity to handle parts of different shapes and sizes. 

Work Environment: 

  • Industrial manufacturingsetting.
  • Exposure toheat, dust, and industrial equipment.
  • Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
