Role Overview
As a Senior Design Engineer (m/f/d), you will play a key role in delivering high-quality technical outputs for automation projects. You will support the project team by preparing documentation, drawings, and HMI designs, contributing to technical solutions, and participating in project reviews. The role requires accuracy, teamwork, and the flexibility to travel internationally while maintaining confidentiality for sensitive naval projects.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and deliver technical project outputs, including drawings, documentation, and HMI design for OT systems
Support the development of technical solutions in cooperation with project teams and stakeholders
Advise on design changes and assess potential cost impacts (without direct cost ownership)
Actively participate in system design discussions, project status updates, and milestone reviews
Ensure compliance with internal and customer-specific quality and security standards
Assist colleagues in resolving quality or design issues and contribute to a collaborative team environment
Maintain confidentiality in line with naval contract requirements
Key Requirements
Technical school certificate or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering (from a recognized polytechnic institute or university)
Proficiency in English, both written and spoken
Strong experience with EPLAN (required); familiarity with SolidWorks and AutoCAD is preferred
Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and organizational skills
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
Willingness and ability to travel internationally
