Safety Training and Education Administrator:

In-person, St. Cloud, Minnesota

You’ll help shape driver behavior, support operational excellence, and bring our safety culture to life through engaging training and creative content.

What You’ll Be Doing:

This role blends safety expertise, training facilitation, and creative content development. Some days you’ll be behind a camera, others leading training sessions or building courses in our LMS.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Partnering with Operations leaders to identify training needs
  • Facilitating driver training on safe tractor-trailer operation, cargo securement and loading
  • FMCSA & DOT compliance regulations
  • Owning and administering ATS’s Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Must be able to creating engaging digital, classroom, and video-based safety training (yes—you may be on camera!)
  • Building learning paths for onboarding, recurring training, technical skills, and behavior-based safety coaching
  • Coaching Driver Managers and Drivers using risk modeling and preventive safety strategies
  • Serving as a subject matter expert for securement, equipment, driving techniques, and in-truck safety technologies
  • Supporting a proactive, behavior-based safety culture focused on prevention and continuous improvement
  • Handling administrative tasks that keep the department running smoothly

You’ll be successful if you have:

  • A 2- or 4-year degree plus 2–4 years of experience in driver training, facilitation, or safety (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations
  • Experience driving a tractor-trailer and securing loads (CDL preferred but not required)
  • Comfort learning and supporting in-truck safety technologies
  • Strong presentation and communication skills—you’re comfortable leading rooms and answering tough questions
  • Creative ability to build training modules, PowerPoint presentations, and videos
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Great organizational skills and the ability to pivot when priorities change
  • Discretion when handling confidential information
  • Alignment with ATS’s mission, values, and commitment to safety

Compensation & Benefits

  • The anticipated base salary range for this position is $60,000 to $80,000.   Base salary offered is determined by relevant experience, education, certifications, and geographic as compared to others doing substantially similar work.
