Job Description

The Engineering Manager will lead, mentor, motivate, manage and direct all Process Engineering operations

our west coast manufacturing and distribution facilities. Must lead by example and exemplify a role model who is a

good communicator. Furthermore, must not be afraid of challenging people to continuously improve, while making

independent decisions to guide the company through aggressive expansion. Responsibilities will include

project/product management, engineering change notice (ECN) management, capital expenditures, safety/OSHA,

environmental compliance, preventative maintenance, and capacity analysis for equipment and facilities. Will also be

responsible for improving the sophistication of people in the organization and driving processes to improve quality,

service and manufacturing costs. This includes determining all resource requirements necessary to provide for

continued growth and reduced operating costs. Other responsibilities will include hiring, training, planning, reviewing

performance, and resolving people, engineering and operational problems. Will be intimately involved in various other

departments/disciplines from project management, manufacturing operations, sales, marketing, procurement, planning,

quality, finance, distribution, customer service, and ensuring that your engineering group delivers what it promises.

This position will report directly to the Site Director.

· Achieve profit and project objectives with continuous improvement of operations

· Drive for Lean Manufacturing, best practices and value analysis to maintain competitive advantage

· Initiate and manage process automation projects

· Educate, manage and motivate staff and others within contact in order to manage capital projects, ECN, and

preventative maintenance initiatives

· Plan resources (people, equipment and facilities) to meet growth requirements based on corporate strategic plans

· Develop programs, taking planned risks for improving raw material costs, service, quality and manufacturing costs

· Prepare and administer engineering budgets and overall performance metrics for department operations

· Develop strategic plans with other members of the leadership team to meet long term growth and profit objectives

for the company

· Maintain environmental, OSHA safety and other regulatory compliance

· Review methods and procedures to constantly improve labor efficiencies and product construction

· Project management, priority setting and being the tie breaker when necessary within the process group

· Problem solving identifying the root cause of problems

· Question and challenge staff to continuously improve

· Coordinate work flow activities between departments ensuring overall procedures and controls are in place to improve our operations and the time to introduce new products

· Recruit and develop organizational talent while continuing to develop programs to educate and train staff

· Establish production and quality control standards to measure by

· Plan and direct all engineering initiatives while establishing appropriate priorities for continued success

· Develop and implement operating methods and procedures · Develop staff’s skills and delegate tasks accordingly to achieve optimum performance

· Consistently deliver the best in customer service.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
