About Our Opportunity

We are seeking a Print Specialist to work in the Philadelphia Corporate office. The Print Specialist is responsible for responsible for ensuring color accuracy, print quality, and production feasibility across all printed materials, with a strong focus on flexographic processes. This role serves as the key liaison between internal creative, production, and packaging teams and external print vendors, both domestic and overseas. This position will provide technical leadership in print processes and color management, reviewing proofs and pre-production samples to ensure all deliverables meet brand standards, manufacturing capabilities, and quality expectations

Responsibilities

  • Review and approve matchprints, press proofs, and pre-production samples for color accuracy, print quality, and adherence to brand and production specifications.
  • Partner with design, packaging, and production teams to ensure creative intent is maintained through final production.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of how varying substrates (e.g. coated vs. uncoated materials, tissue, films, specialty finishes) impact color reproduction, ink behavior, and overall print quality across different processes.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for print-related communication with domestic and overseas factories and vendors.
  • Communicate technical feedback clearly, including required color and quality adjustments.
  • Establish and uphold print and color standards across product categories and suppliers.
  • Troubleshoot print and production issues, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
  • Act as a technical resource to creative, product development, and packaging teams.
  • Provide input on materials, finishes, and print approaches to ensure design intent is achievable in production.
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

Qualifications 

  • Strong understanding of flexographic printing, including inks, substrates, plates, and press behavior.
  • Familiarity with color management systems, with GMG experience highly preferred.
  • Awareness and understanding of CSI color standards and measurement practices preferred.
  • Ability to critically evaluate proofs and printed samples for color accuracy and overall quality.
  • Strong judgment in determining acceptable tolerances and production feasibility.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Print Production, Packaging, Communications, or a related field required.
  • 8–12+ years of experience in print production, color management, packaging, or related production-focused roles, preferably within a product-based or in-house creative environment.
  • Any equivalent combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
