Company: PeopleCare Health Services
Location: Remote / Work from Home, with occasional office or training needs
Job Type: Full-Time
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

About the Role

PeopleCare Health Services is hiring a Scheduler to help coordinate reliable, compassionate home care for our clients. This role is responsible for matching caregivers to client schedules, responding to schedule changes, supporting coverage needs, and maintaining strong communication with caregivers, clients, families, and internal teams.  We are looking for someone who is organized, responsive, calm under pressure, and highly accountable. This role may be remote/work from home, which requires strong follow-through, professionalism, timely communication, and the ability to stay fully available during assigned working hours.

What You’ll Do

  • Coordinate caregiver schedules based on client needs, caregiver availability, skills, and care plans
  • Ensure daily and weekend schedules are complete, accurate, and updated timely
  • Respond quickly to call-outs, schedule changes, missed clock-ins, and urgent coverage needs
  • Communicate professionally with caregivers, clients, families, and internal team members
  • Build positive relationships with caregivers and clients through consistency and follow-up
  • Identify scheduling barriers, open shifts, and coverage risks before they escalate
  • Maintain accurate schedule documentation to support compliance and EVV requirements
  • Partner with leadership and office teams to resolve scheduling, timesheet, or service concerns
  • Track open items, organize priorities, and communicate barriers with recommended solutions
  • Participate in scheduler meetings, caregiver check-ins, on-call rotation, and other duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Scheduling, staffing, recruiting, customer service, home care, or healthcare experience preferred
  • Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills
  • Ability to prioritize urgent needs and manage competing responsibilities
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a solutions-focused mindset
  • Ability to build trust with caregivers, clients, families, and team members
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office and company technology platforms
  • Able to work independently while meeting team expectations and deadlines

Remote Work Expectations

This position may be eligible for remote/work-from-home status. Because scheduling directly impacts client care, remote employees must remain responsive during assigned work hours, maintain reliable internet access, protect confidentiality, complete work timely, and meet all communication and performance expectations.

Why Join PeopleCare?

  • Remote/work-from-home opportunity
  • Meaningful work supporting clients and caregivers
  • Collaborative team environment
  • Opportunity to make a daily impact
  • Competitive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and more

Working Conditions and Travel

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer; physical effort generally sedentary, with occasional lifting requirements based on business needs.

• May be required to work weekends, nights, holidays, or on-call shifts as a regular part of the job.

• Work location may include remote/work-from-home, home office, and/or agency offices as assigned. Occasional travel to other locations may be required for training or business needs.
