Job Description
Our Store Coordinator is a critical contributor to providing our customers with quality service. Expect detailed training to achieve mastery of processes regarding our products and customer service procedures. There is a family dynamic at The Pond Guy that extends to the customer as we strive to give them the highest quality service possible.
Here are some examples of the actual work your day would include:
Store Coordinator
- Ensure store open and close procedures are completed
- Coordinate and/or perform maintenance and landscaping for the store front
- Complete daily store replenishment, as well as plant and fish orders for store stock
- Monitor the workflow of sales orders and resolve any issues in a timely manner
- Complete physical inventories as needed and weekly cycle counts-find root cause of issues and address
- Coordinate special store events
- Improve store efficiencies and procedures
- Handle regular product sales, questions and order taking via face-to-face, phone and email interactions
- Provide maintenance plans for customers to follow based on their individual pond needs
- Ask relevant questions to provide best solution for customer’s needs
- Use metric goals to improve job performance
- Build lifetime relationships with customers
- Verify sales report and case assets to report
- Support with shift coverage for all open hours of store are covered
Don’t know about ponds? That’s ok! You’ll be trained to be proficient in your job. We utilize an interactive combination of hands-on and visual training to ensure everyone has a full understanding of The Pond Guy’s proactive approach to pond management.
Job Requirements
To be successful in this role, you need to have a certain amount of knowledge and skills:
- One year of face-to-face sales or customer service experience preferred
- Basic mathematic calculations, conversions & ratios
- Ability to effectively communicate with customers while documenting relevant information regarding their interaction
- Technical background is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient computer knowledge in word and excel
- Hands-on mind set with ability to work in an office environment
- High School diploma, college degree preferred
- Ability to meet the standards of telecommuting (remote work) policy
Because this position involves a variety of tasks, the physical requirements for both in-office and in-the-field environments are necessary. This position requires manual dexterity for typing, sitting at a desk, and looking at a computer screen for long periods. This position also requires the ability to swim, perform repetitive motions for extended periods; demonstrate manual dexterity when working with small components; frequently bend, stoop, and stand for long durations; lift, lower, and carry packages typically weighing 25–50 lbs.; and handle packages up to 150 lbs. with assistance.
We need a Store Coordinator that has a positive attitude and the words “can’t” and “impossible” are not a part of your vocabulary. You'll have the ability to learn quickly and retain a large amount of information and offer exceptional customer service. This person should continually add value to the organization beyond their day-to-day tasks.
Availability
You must be available to work between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday-Friday. This is a full-time position with year-round responsibilities.
