General Laborer

RESPONSIBLITIES:

Keeps premises of building in clean and orderly condition by performing a combination of activities including cleaning assigned areas.

Responsible for installation, maintenance and repairs of facilities, facilities equipment, and powered industrial trucks.
Responsible for managing the care of the facilities grounds.
Performs typical maintenance tasks to support the production floor and the entire facility.
Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
Performs prescribed preventative maintenance on machinery and the building or grounds as required.
Performs all duties and operates machinery & equipment according to MIOSHA standards and company procedures using required safety equipment (gloves, sleeves, ear plugs, etc.)
Empties wastebasket, and empties and cleans ashtrays.
Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
Seasonal grounds maintenance, shovel snow, snow blow, verify emergency exits are always clear, pick up winter debris, paper, cardboard, etc.
Remove scrap from Pit.
Remove waste oil from Pit.
Maintain spill kits.
Maintain eye wash stations.
Remove, clean and replace all associate fans.
Clean safety mirrors.
Comply with Autokiniton standards and procedures for the storage of disposal of supplies, trash, rubbish, and waste.
Punctual and regular attendance is required.
Able and willing to work any shift assigned.
Reports the need for repairs to the immediate Supervisor.
Performs additional duties that may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Responsible for reading and understanding all company policies
High school Diploma or GED
1-3 months experience

· PAY AND SHIFT TIMES: $19.00 per hour, 1st shift

This part-time, hourly role is a part of our Operations team and reports to the Operations Supervisor and Manager.
