General Laborer
RESPONSIBLITIES:
Keeps premises of building in clean and orderly condition by performing a combination of activities including cleaning assigned areas.
- Responsible for installation, maintenance and repairs of facilities, facilities equipment, and powered industrial trucks.
- Responsible for managing the care of the facilities grounds.
- Performs typical maintenance tasks to support the production floor and the entire facility.
- Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
- Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
- Performs prescribed preventative maintenance on machinery and the building or grounds as required.
- Performs all duties and operates machinery & equipment according to MIOSHA standards and company procedures using required safety equipment (gloves, sleeves, ear plugs, etc.)
- Empties wastebasket, and empties and cleans ashtrays.
- Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
- Seasonal grounds maintenance, shovel snow, snow blow, verify emergency exits are always clear, pick up winter debris, paper, cardboard, etc.
- Remove scrap from Pit.
- Remove waste oil from Pit.
- Maintain spill kits.
- Maintain eye wash stations.
- Remove, clean and replace all associate fans.
- Clean safety mirrors.
- Comply with Autokiniton standards and procedures for the storage of disposal of supplies, trash, rubbish, and waste.
- Punctual and regular attendance is required.
- Able and willing to work any shift assigned.
- Reports the need for repairs to the immediate Supervisor.
- Performs additional duties that may be assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Responsible for reading and understanding all company policies
- High school Diploma or GED
- 1-3 months experience
· PAY AND SHIFT TIMES: $19.00 per hour, 1st shift
This part-time, hourly role is a part of our Operations team and reports to the Operations Supervisor and Manager.
