TDIndustries is looking for a driven Plumbing Service Manager to join our Phoenix, Arizona team.
In this role, you’ll lead a talented group of technicians, ensuring every project meets our high standards and follows all state and local codes. You’ll support the team by providing ongoing leadership, coaching, and development to drive performance, support professional growth, and achieve organizational goals.
Essential Duties
- Provides leadership and operational support to service technicians and supervisors within the business segment, including participation in on‑call rotations in accordance with business unit policies. Ensures consistent compliance with company guidelines, business unit standards, and all applicable state and local codes.
- Partners on HR‑related matters and supports inclusive hiring practices by recommending qualified candidates. Leads constructive performance management discussions focused on employee growth and development, addressing performance concerns professionally and escalating critical issues as needed.
- Demonstrates strong command of service reporting metrics to effectively manage team performance and business results.
- Builds and maintains strong customer relationships by directly managing technician performance to meet customer expectations. Assists with sales proposal development and identifies, maximizes, and communicates prefabrication opportunities. Provides technical support, resolves invoice disputes, and offers feedback related to accounts receivable.
- Manages revenue objectives established through annual strategic planning. Monitors technician labor hours to ensure efficiency and safety, verifies the accuracy of work orders and time sheets, and reviews the monthly Technician Productivity Report. Provides actionable feedback to technicians, identifying opportunities for improvement and recognizing exceptional performance.
- Leads monthly safety meetings with service technicians to support continuous improvement of safety policies and procedures. Conducts two safety observations per month to ensure safety rules, policies, and practices are followed, with corrective actions implemented as needed. Ensures all injury and incident reporting and investigations are completed in compliance with company policy and business segment guidelines.
Minimum Requirements
High school diploma or GED required; a bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
Minimum of 7 years of relevant Plumbing experience.
Strong expertise in MEP systems, commercial service operations, techniques, and applicable codes.
Excellent communication skills with a strong client‑focused approach.
- Proven track record of coaching, developing, and building trusted relationships with direct reports to support long‑term performance and growth.
- Required to maintain all applicable plumbing registrations, licenses, and certifications.
