The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM.

 

SUMMARY: Under general supervision, the Logistics Lead leads and assists multiple teams and shifts in the support of internal and external customer requirements. The area of responsibility may include one or a combination of the following areas: Stores, Shipping/Receiving, Tooling, and Operation Support.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

General:

  • Directs, leads and reassigns support team in response to workload requirements.
  • Ensures assigned team members are consistently practicing appropriate safety procedures.
  • Coordinates and participates in the daily assignment of tasks in the work area.
  • Supports, communicates and implements company initiatives (e.g. Lean Operations).
  • Provides guidance to staff when resolving technical, procedural, and customer service issues.
  • Provides premier customer service support to assigned internal and external customers.
  • Develops and implements corrective action for findings issued during internal and external audits.
  • Collaborates and works cross functionally to resolve discrepancies.
  • Ensures qualified staff is performing assigned jobs in compliance with RSM.
  • Ensures compliance with all regulatory and customer requirements.
  • Provides feedback to management on issues and concerns with employee performance.
  • Ensures all required partner training is complete and validated.
  • Provides backup in absence of a supervisor.

The following duties will apply based on the area to which the employee is assigned:

Receiving Lead:

  • Maintains qualification requirements for authorization to conduct inspections in compliance with the location’s RSM.
  • Maintains qualification requirements for inclusion on Stamp Roster (listing of all controlled stamps by stamp number and name of person).
  • Oversees computer, paperwork, and tag transactions to account for material movement.
  • Ensures missing parts are identified and accurately recorded during the receipt process.
  • Ensures proper marking of parts, consumables, raw materials, and shelf-life sensitive parts.
  • Ensures inspections on parts comply with all regulatory and customer requirements.
  • Maintains PMA Receiving training and qualifications as needed, to ensure inspections on in-process PMA parts comply with all regulatory requirements, which may require drawing validations pertaining to heat treat, finish and geometric design acceptance.
  • Ensures certification and serviceable tags are accurate to determine airworthiness.
  • Generates discrepancy reports for non-conforming material.
  • Ensures discrepancies receive prompt resolution and implements corrective action.
  • Ensures completeness of kits prior to receiving.
  • Validates CFE drop-shipments (RO’s & PO’s) are received before processing into CFE-ERP system.
  • Ensures proper system transfers are completed in CFE-ERP prior to issuing or shipping.
  • Travels to other buildings to help receiving inspect seats, engines, etc.
  • Ensures proper unpacking, examining of goods against bills of lading and invoices is completed.
  • Ensures verification of counts, quantity, and identification numbers of units against Purchase Order is completed.
  • Oversees receipts and delivery of material from suppliers to other areas of the facility.
  • Ensures Environmental Health and Safety procedures are followed daily.

Shipping Lead:

  • Ensures HAZMAT paperwork is accurately completed for items being transported or shipped to external customers.
  • Oversees shipments for Alt Solutions. (PMA, Cargo door armor, Cargo tech, etc.)
  • Ensures timely and proper shipment (packing, boxing & crating) of all items leaving the location.
  • Oversees daily unloading of trucks.
  • Assists with Heavy Distribution as needed to support operations to all sites.
  • Oversees daily local transports to support operations, CSD & Alt Solutions.
  • Ensures scheduled FTL and LTL are fair market price before acceptance.
  • Ensures weights and dims are correct before moving shipments.

Operation Support Representative:

  • Reviews Gateway and monitors critical items impacting schedule and facilitates resolution.
  • Ensures RSM procedures are being followed by assigned group.
  • Ensures all parts and material are Picked and Pulled to meet production schedules.
  • Ensures material requests from internal production and support departments are completed.
  • Ensures daily ERP transactions are completed and resolved prior to escalation.
  • Ensures Off-Units and R/O’s are processed in a timely manner.
  • Ensures Hazmat, explosive and other flammable products are stored safely.
  • Attends required customer meetings and answers questions related to area of responsibility.
  • Trains new employees on overall process requirements of the OSR roll.

OTHER DUTIES:

  • Attends leadership training.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Some travel may be required.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of three (3) years of inventory handling and control or warehouse operation experience required, including operation of trucks, pallet jacks, and forklifts.
  • Forklift certification required (must obtain certification within 60 days of hire).
  • 49CFR and IATA dangerous goods training (compliance to ATS requirements within 30 days of hire).
  • Valid state driver’s license required.

PHYSICAL EFFORT AND DEXTERITY:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to sit; use their hands and arms; and talk or hear; and focus on objects close up.  The employee will also be required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Compensation

The full base pay range for this position is $24.00 – $36.00 hourly, not including bonuses or benefits. Your pay will be based on your experience, skills, and education, as well as internal equity to ensure fairness across the team. Candidates closer to the lower end of the range are typically building their expertise, while those at the higher end bring significant experience and specialized knowledge. This position is also eligible for an annual performance bonus.
