Position Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated High School Social Studies Teacher to join our faculty. The ideal candidate will integrate faith into their instruction, inspire critical thinking, and equip students with problem-solving skills for academic and real world-success. The High School Social Studies Teacher will instruct six (6) classes of Psychology and US History.

Essential Functions
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
● Possesses exemplary decision making and problem-solving skills
● Proficient with Google products; specifically, but not limited to: Docs, Forms, Sheets, Slides, etc.
as well as the ability to learn, use Crusader Connect (school Admin software and learning
management system)

Qualifications and Physical Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education, History, Social Studies or other related field.
Valid or eligible for a Nevada teaching license issued by the Nevada Department of Education.
Commitment to fostering a Christ-centered environment where students grow physically, mentally, and
spiritually.
Positional Responsibilities
● Develops and administers Faith Lutheran’s Social Studies curriculum consistent with
school mission and goals.
● Fosters a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity,
collaboration and respect of others.
● Develops lesson plans and instructional materials and translates lesson plans into learning
experiences so as to best utilize the available time for instruction.
● Conducts ongoing assessment of student learning, and accurately records scores for analysis.
● Continues to acquire professional knowledge and learn of current developments in the
educational field by attending seminars, workshops or professional meetings.
● Organizes and maintains Crusader Connect for accurate and complete record-keeping, grading
and reporting for all student activities, achievement and attendance.
● Ensures parental involvement in students’ education with effective communication. Emails
should have a 24-hour response time.
● Ensures that student conduct conforms with the school’s standards and school handbook, and
establishes and maintains standards of behavior needed to achieve a functional learning
atmosphere in the classroom.
● Coordinates with other facility members & Administrators, especially within grade level, to
evaluate and assess curriculum, and participate in faculty meetings and committees.

Salary and Benefits
The High School Social Studies Teaching position consists of six (6) classes for the 2026-2027 school
year, is a full time, exempt position with competitive pay and full benefits teaching. Complete benefits
include medical, dental, vision, pension, 403 (b) retirement savings, PTO, paid holidays and a 50%
student tuition discount of available (if applicable).
