Job Description

Job Title: Summer Intern Program Cohort Leader
Position Type: Seasonal, Full-Time (Summer)
Dates: Summer Program Runs May 26 – July 31

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:15 AM – 3:45 PM

Position Overview

We are seeking  responsible, and engaging Cohort Leaders to support our Summer High School Intern Program. Cohort Leaders will mentor and supervise up to 20 high school interns daily, ensuring a structured, safe, and productive learning environment.

This position is ideal for college students with demonstrated leadership experience, education majors, a recent college graduate, or teachers seeking meaningful summer employment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and mentor a cohort of up to 20 high school interns.
  • Serve as the primary point of accountability and guidance for assigned interns including attendance, meaningful engagement in assigned areas
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support program success.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated leadership experience (camp counselor, team leader, student organization leader, athlete, etc.).
  • Experience working with high school-aged youth preferred.
  • Strong communication, organization, and supervision skills.
  • Ability to manage groups effectively and maintain professional boundaries.
  • Dependable, punctual, and proactive.
  • Must be available for the full duration of the program (May 26 – July 31).

Preferred:

  • College coursework in education, youth development, social work, or related field.
  • Prior classroom, camp, or youth program experience.
