Benton-Carroll-Salem Local School District is seeking a compassionate and student-centered Counselor to provide academic, social-emotional, and career awareness support to students. The successful candidate will implement a comprehensive, data-driven school counseling program aligned with the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) model and Ohio Department of Education standards. The counselor will collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to promote student success, well-being, and readiness for lifelong learning.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in School Counseling or related field.
Valid Ohio Pupil Services License in School Counseling.
Strong knowledge of child development, counseling techniques, and educational practices.
Effective communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to build trusting relationships with students, families, and staff.
