Job Summary
The Education Coordinator/AHA Instructor is responsible for coordinating, facilitating, and instructing American Heart Association (AHA) classes for NARMC staff. This role ensures the highest quality of education and training, supporting clinical staff competency and enhancing patient care outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and facilitate all American Heart Association (AHA) classes.
- Serve as the primary instructor and Skills Check instructor for all disciplines.
- Conduct mock codes and serve as AHA faculty.
- Assist the AHA Training Center Coordinator with:
- Maintaining CTC records and scheduling simulations
- Setting up AHA classes and distributing materials
- Issuing and tracking key codes and CPR equipment
- Tracking expiration notifications for employee AHA certifications
- Recruiting, developing, and supporting instructors
- Developing CTC protocols and quality measures
- Supporting growth of the CTC program
- Support clinical education needs, including Clinical Skills Fairs, MASH Program, and educational events.
- Maintain department training materials, including books and educational resources.
Job Qualifications
Required:
- AA in Nursing or Paramedic
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as an AHA ACLS instructor
- Arkansas RN license or Paramedic license
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS instructor certification
- Strong computer skills (MS Office, Meditech, CareLearning)
- Excellent customer service skills
- Flexibility in scheduling and ability to work collaboratively
Preferred:
- AHA PALS instructor certification
