    Job Description:
    Basalt High School is seeking a passionate and experienced Head Girls Basketball Coach to lead our high school basketball program. We are looking for a leader who will inspire student-athletes on and off the court, build a competitive and character-driven program, and serve as a positive role model within our school and community.

    As a Longhorn, you'll be part of a proud tradition in a tight-knit mountain town with a strong sense of community and support for youth athletics. 

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Lead all aspects of the girls basketball program, including practices, games, offseason training, and team development
    • Create a positive, inclusive, and disciplined team culture aligned with the values of Basalt High School
    • Support multi-sport participation and academic accountability among student-athletes
    • Develop coaching staff and collaborate with lower-level coaches to ensure program continuity
    • Engage with families, alumni, and the broader community to grow support for the program
    • Ensure compliance with Roaring Fork School District and CHSAA policies and guidelines
    • Coordinate facilities, equipment, and team logistics with the Athletic Director

     

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Previous head or assistant coaching experience at the high school or collegiate level
    • Strong knowledge of basketball strategy, fundamentals, and player development
    • Demonstrated leadership, communication, and organizational skills
    • Ability to connect with and motivate student-athletes of diverse backgrounds

     

    Salary Range: $5,343.00 - $6,732.00 depending on previous paid experience in this sport.
