Job Description

Title: Client Resource Specialist – Part Time

Location: Bellevue, WA

Work Schedule: 4-day work week, Part Time 20 hours per week for coverage needs, flexible schedule within timeframe Monday - Thursday 9am-4pm, daytime hours, Friday off.

The career opportunity:  
 
Client Resource Specialist is one of the first points of contact at the Service Center’s Front Desk and is responsible for warmly greeting and welcoming all visitors. They provide excellent customer service to clients, donors, visitors, and staff, and are critical to ensure smooth operation of the center. The environment can sometimes be fast paced and busy and at other times it can be slower. This position requires the ability to multi-task, solve concerns, be flexible, stay calm under pressure and discern issues when necessary. Must be comfortable working with individuals who demonstrate extreme or unpredictable behavior related to various kinds of crises or trauma including substance abuse, mental health disorders, and/or homelessness. 

 

For Part Time CRS: This position will work in conjunction with the full-time staff person during higher volume hours.

  • Community engagement and responsible for warmly greeting all visitors at the front desk.
  • Two years’ office experience with a busy, multi-line phone; preferably in a social service setting. 
  • Ability to work effectively with and provide services to a diverse population.
  • Experience and/or desire to work with low-income families.
  • Knowledge of social service programs and customer service.
  • Computer skills required (Word, Excel, One Note, Outlook). Office 365 and Teams, zoom, SharePoint, databases.
  • Bi-lingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Examples of what you will be doing:

  • Information data tracking with excel and receives and receipts cash, checks and other donations.
  • Screens clients for services by asking questions to determine eligibility; If client appears to be eligible, schedules appointments.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, specifically Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Word, Excel, and OneNote are used frequently.
  • Has an ability to listen for understanding and de-escalate challenging or difficult situations as they arise.
  • Answers regarding services offered at the center and make internal and external referrals for services within the community.
  • Coordinate clients into the food market and schedule shopping appointments; assist with Summertime Food Renewals as needed.
  • Regular work tasks involve moving items, occasionally lifting 10 pounds.
  • This job operates in a professional office environment. Work tasks involve routine use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines; accessing office machinery, mail room, or filing cabinets, etc. may involve physical movement within the office space.
  • Develop skills utilizing a client-focused, trauma informed approach, with the goal of supporting our clients in achieving stability.
